Hospital del Niño de Panamá
The Hospital del Nino de Panama has been caring for the sick children of Panama since it was officially started in 1958. In 1979, the burn ward was completed providing much needed treatment for many pediatric burn victims who had no other treatment options. Now this burn ward is part of the urgent care center allowing burn victims to receive immediate treatment. Due to the rising accidents per year including burns, the Hospital del Nino initiated a campaign, Campana Prevenir es Vivir, in order to prevent pediatric accidents through educational programs. This campaign is being run in conjunction with the Mayor's office and the Red Cross.
