About the Burn Consortium:

The Central American and Caribbean Association for the Prevention and Treatment of Children with Burns, better known as “Asociación de Hermandad,” is an international alliance dedicated to improving the quality and availability of burn treatment for all children, specifically in Central America and the Caribbean. Our partner organizations play a vital role in promoting burn prevention and improving burn care education and treatment throughout the region.

Some of our main objectives are:

  • Identifying best practices in pediatric burn care.
  • Expanding training opportunities.
  • Collaborating to develop common burn prevention campaigns.
  • Enhancing research capabilities and sharing that information among partners.
  • Providing opportunities to share burn treatment information.

Throughout this website, you will find information and resources to help you learn more about what we do; additionally, you’ll find tools and contact information to help you play an important role in our work as well. Please use the links in the left-hand navigation to get started.
